“Why Christian Education Matters”
“Your Gift Matters”
Give to BVCS
Big Valley Christian School strives to reach the highest standard of Christian education. We are committed to providing the finest academic, artistic, athletic and spiritual training ground for the next generation of leaders. BVCS is a private, non-profit school. In addition to tuition income, we operate solely from the generous gifts of donors in our school, church, and community. Our supportive community has always been very generous to the school whether we are building a new playground, adding an athletic field, expanding technology, or giving to the GAP fund.
The GAP fund plays an important role in the financial health of BVCS. The School Board is committed to keeping tuition rates as affordable as possible. However, the cost of providing a quality, Christ-centered education continues to rise. Giving to the GAP fund is an opportunity for many families to help us bridge the gap between the actual cost of educating a student and the amount of tuition.
In addition to the GAP fund, BVCS offers a tuition assistance program. The Tuition Assistance Fund has been funded for several years by a generous offering at Big Valley Grace Community Church and a matching gift.

Tuition Assistance Fund
The Tuition Assistance program allows the BVCS School Board to offer financial assistance, ranging from about 5-40% of tuition, to qualified families. During the 2015-16 school year we had 141 students receive tuition assistance, allowing a Christ-centered, college prep education to be available to those who otherwise would not have been able to afford it. For several years we have had a family who believed so strongly in a BVCS education that they offered a $100,000 matching gift toward the Tuition Assistance program. Two years ago another family stepped up and said that they wanted to offer a second $100,000 matching gift to help BVCS expand our reach to offer a Christ-centered, college prep education to even more students. We are excited to announce that this year these generous families are again offering matching gifts! We are prayerfully seeking donations totaling at least $200,000 so we can receive the full match for a total of $400,000 of tuition assistance funds.
We believe that Christian education matters! We also believe that every gift matters! If every friend of Big Valley Christian School brought at least a $25 gift we would more than achieve our goal. And every single gift – no matter the size – makes a difference for our school! The tuition assistance offering will be collected during the weekend gatherings at BVGCC on April 23-24.
